Microsoft Research introduces Quine, an early-stage multimodal world model of biology

Microsoft Research is developing Quine, an early-stage research effort to build a multimodal world model of biology.

Quine is intended to connect insights across biological scales and modalities, helping scientists computationally search a space larger than intuition alone allows and prioritize hypotheses before they reach the lab. Microsoft Research says experimental results then provide feedback that helps researchers sharpen later research directions.
