GPT-6.1 Sol is generally available in GitHub Copilot

GitHub says GPT-6.1 Sol is now generally available in GitHub Copilot for agentic coding and terminal workflows, and describes its multistep coding performance as strong.

In early testing, GitHub says the model reliably completed tasks while using noticeably fewer tokens and steps than earlier models in the GPT-6 and GPT-5.6 families. It is available in the GitHub Copilot app, CLI, and code. Details are in GitHub’s changelog, GPT-6.1 Sol in GitHub Copilot.
