OpenAI introduces GPT-6 Sol and Luna with API prices 50% below GPT-5.6 promotional pricing

OpenAI has introduced GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna. The models build on advances behind GPT-6 Astra, bringing much of its strengths into faster and more affordable models for work at scale.

OpenAI says it has made caching and inference more efficient and is passing those savings on in API pricing. Prices for Sol and Luna are 50% lower than GPT-5.6 promotional pricing.
