Hugging Face Hub adds hosting for reinforcement learning environments

Reinforcement learning (RL) environments are now supported on the Hugging Face Hub. Because environments consist of tasks, tests, containers, and reward functions, the platform treats them like datasets, utilizing the Hub's existing storage, version control, gating, and preview systems.

According to Ben Burtenshaw, the launch addresses cross-framework fragmentation caused by disparate custom hubs, runtime registries, and custom GitHub loaders that previously hindered interoperability across RL frameworks.
