NVIDIA researchers introduce PivotOPD to train AI agents on error recovery

NVIDIA researchers introduced PivotOPD, a method designed to teach AI agents how to avoid early mistakes during task execution and recover when errors happen rather than continuing in the wrong direction.

During training, a teacher model presents the agent with a better action and demonstrates how to get back on track over the next few steps. NVIDIA published the research paper and demonstration videos on the PivotOPD project page.
