Peter Steinberger: Meta built its own agent, inspired by OpenClaw

Peter Steinberger said a “Meta uses OpenClaw” story is going around, and that they built their own agent, being inspired. He quoted Nat Friedman and wrote that Friedman and his team did a great job.

Friedman wrote that they built Muse from scratch, but it is heavily inspired as a product by OpenClaw. After using OpenClaw in January, he said he bought hundreds of Mac minis for the MSL team, and that many of them used OpenClaw and other personal agents. He said the goal with Muse was to build something like OpenClaw that they could make safe and secure, easy to use, and scale to billions of people.
