Databricks launches OpenAI GPT-6 Sol, GPT-6 Luna, and AnthropicAI Claude Opus 5.5

Databricks is launching OpenAI’s GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna and AnthropicAI’s Claude Opus 5.5 for its customers. The launch is tied to Databricks’ September 2026 product release notes.

Databricks says GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna offer strong performance at lower cost and a higher Pareto frontier on the OfficeQA Pro benchmark. It says Claude Opus 5.5 brings substantial improvements in cost efficiency and strong performance on enterprise document parsing tasks.

Databricks describes Unity Gateway as one governance layer across models. It can govern and audit requests, set budgets, track costs, and choose a model for each job.
