Sonnet 5.5 shows up to 20% lower Claude Platform costs and more Claude Code usage

ClaudeDevs says Sonnet 5.5 has brought as much as 20% lower costs on the Claude Platform and 30% more usage in Claude Code. ClaudeDevs also says the model is smarter, more efficient, and 30% faster than Sonnet 5, and points it to well-scoped everyday work such as fixing bugs and iterating on features.

Claude is introducing Sonnet 5.5 as the second model in the Claude 5.5 family. Claude says it is a clear upgrade over Sonnet 5, runs more than 30% faster, and costs up to 30% less for most work.
