Arena.ai ranks Claude Opus 5.5 (Max) from AnthropicAI first in Code Arena: WebDev with 1,818 points. The score is 26 points ahead of GPT-6 Astra (Max) and 126 points above the previous Opus 5 (Max) score of 1,692.

Arena.ai also places Opus 5.5 (Max) first in Brand and Marketing, Reference-Based Design, Data & Analytics, and Simulations and Gaming, and second in Consumer Product. It says more category results will follow as additional votes come in.

Claude introduced Opus 5.5 as the first model in the Claude 5.5 family. Claude says it performs at the level of Claude Fable 5.1 for most tasks and costs 40% less to run than Opus 5.
